*Defination of Library:-                                                                                                                                                                      A Library classification is a system of knowledge organization by which library resources are arranged and ordered systematically.Library classifications use a notational system that represents the order of topics in the classification and allows items to be stored in that order.                                                                                                                              * Textbook Defination : 

                Encycnlopedia Definatio : A library classification is a system of coding and organizing library materials (books, serials, audiovisual materials, computer files, maps, realia) according to their subject and allocating a call number to that information resource. Similar to classification systems used in biology, bibliographic classification systems group entities that are similar together typically arranged in a hierarchical tree structure (assuming none-faceted system).                                                                                                                          From the Dictionary:

               Library classification is the systematic arrangement of library materials in a logical and coherent manner based on their subject matter, form, or other characteristics. It aims to facilitate the retrieval, utilization, and management of library collections, enabling users to efficiently locate relevant materials and ensuring that the library's holdings are organized in a way that is accessible and user-friendly.                                        *Encyclopaedia Definition:-_*
