Definition- A library classification is a system of organization of knowledge in which sources are arranged according to the classification scheme and ordered very systematically. Library classifications are a notational system that represents the order of topics in the classification and allows items to be stored in the order of classification.

Conclusion-
Classification have remained essential activities in traditional and electronic information retrieval environments. The activities ivolved in the organization of information resources in the libraries have the overall intention of faciliating easy access to and retrieval of the resources in the library.
